Measure the distance between your piercing hole and the tip of your ear or nose. It is best to use a piece of paper and mark the distance from the center of the piercing to the edge of your ear or nose, then measure this marking on a ruler, add 1-2mm to this measurement if you don’t want the hoop too tight or snug up against your nose or ear.
