About Us

While living overseas, I noticed that many of my friends would purchase jewelry pieces that reflected their many European travels. Jewelry was in such high demand, so I decided to invest in some basic jewelry tools and started designing and selling jewelry to people I knew. Seeing how a custom piece of jewelry has the power to bring someone back to a favorite memory or place made me realize how much I enjoyed coming up with new designs for others.

This eventually led to the start of my own Etsy shop in 2013.

My grandfather owned his own jewelry business and just like him, my father has been a jeweler for over 40 years. My older sister owns an online jewelry business as well, and is the main person who encouraged and inspired me to take my business to Etsy.

All my jewelry is handmade from the heart. I will never send anything out that I wouldn’t be proud of wearing myself. My hope is that you will find a HIwire piece you fall in love with that you can cherish for years to come.

Guaranteed Work

I have always guaranteed my work – it should NOT break or fall apart from normal wear. If you ever have a problem, please contact me and we can discuss a plan.

FAQs

What is 14k Gold Fill?

14k gold fill is a metal that has been around since 1817. Many of the old “antique gold” pocket watches and lockets from the early 20th century are actually not solid gold but are made of gold fill. If you imagine a drinking straw made of 14K gold, with the hollow part of the straw filled with an alloy of metals (ex. silver, copper, brass), you would have a basic idea of how gold fill is constructed. Gold fill does not “wear away” as gold plating does. It is a strong and beautiful metal. Gold fill is priced based on the gold market, so it is a more expensive metal than sterling silver but gives you the beauty of solid gold at a more affordable price.

Find Your Size:

How to decide what diameter to order:

You can measure the distance between your piercing hole and the tip of the ear/nose or lip. Be sure to add 1mm if you don’t want it too snug.

How to measure your little one’s wrist:

Wrap a piece of string or strip of paper around the widest part of your baby’s hand (not wrist) and measure the length. it should fit snuggly over the hand so that it is not too big and fall off when your baby throws their hand out!

How to measure your ring size:

Wrap a piece of string or paper around the base of your finger and measure that length in millimeters (mm). Then find your corresponding size on the chart below.
